Gardens Crew Member
Lead Horticulturalist
$26-30/hr ~ March-Nov ~ 40 hr/week
We are seeking a skilled and passionate plantsperson to lead a small team of gardeners in the maintenance and installation of beautiful and bountiful landscapes throughout the Upper Valley. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for the New England perennial and shrub palette, with a keen eye for detail and clear communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate clearly and openly with fellow crew members and leaders regarding daily goals, proper techniques, timelines, etc.
Perform seasonally appropriate garden maintenance including weeding, deadheading, edging, mulching, and splitting perennials.
Prune fruit/ornamental trees and shrubs to ensure healthy growth.
Identify and treat common plant diseases and pest issues.
Operate and maintain various hand tools and electrically powered equipment.
Install and care for new ecological landscape plantings in collaboration with our garden designer.
Ensure proper watering schedules for new plantings.
Keep outdoor workspaces clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing throughout the workday.
Make sound independent decisions in a safe manner consistent with the essential job functions, policies, and procedures. Ask questions anytime instructions from supervisors are unclear.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in a garden setting.
Knowledge of plant care, soil health, and pest management.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Meticulous note-taking and communication skills regarding tasks completed, timelines, and materials.
Clean driving record.
An understanding of ecological gardening practices and New England native plants is a plus.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Lifting, bending, and extended periods of physical labor.
Ability to work in a team setting and periods of time alone.

The Electric Lawn Crew Leader
$24-28/hr 36hr/week
Responsibilities:
-Safely drive the crew in a company approved/provided pick up truck with a 10-14' trailer attached
-Safely operate various types of lawnmowers and landscaping equipment
-Use your phone to log and track schedule and performance
-Present oneself and the crew in clean professional attire while demonstrating the highest respect to our clientele, the community, and each other
-Demonstrate leadership derived from experience in landscaping or similar fields and situations
-Be able to work a hard day, safely lift more than 50lbs and perform strenuous and repeated tasks
-Be willing to work alone often for extended periods of time
Garden Crew Member
$18-21/hr 20-40hr/week
Job Summary:
We are seeking passionate outdoors people to plant and maintain beautiful and bountiful landscapes throughout the Upper Valley. The ideal candidate will have experience working an active, outdoors job with an interest in plants and creating aesthetically pleasing spaces for our clientele. Full and part time positions available.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate clearly and openly with fellow crew members, learning and adapting to unique worksites.
Seasonally appropriate garden maintenance including weeding, deadheading, edging, mulching, and splitting perennials.
Operate and maintain various hand tools and occassional electrically powered equipment.
Install and care for new garden plantings.
Keep outdoor workspaces clean, organized, and aesthetically pleasing throughout the workday.
Qualifications & Skills:
Knowledge of gardening practices and New England perennials is a major plus.
Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and ability to learn on the job.
